Dive into the whimsical world of potion-making

Apothecary is a premium puzzle game from Forget Me Not Games that takes players into the whimsical world of Mangrove, where they simulate the process of crafting potions while forming bonds with eccentric townsfolk. Delightfully engaging, the game boasts narrative-driven gameplay.

In Apothecary, players are faced with the predicament of a disastrously ruined recipe book. They must tap into their wisdom and bravely experiment to unravel potion formulas from scratch. Players are equipped with tools and ingredients for concocting the right elixirs. The game's alchemy aspect bears similarities to that of Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator.

Unraveling potion formulas

In Apothecary, players are tasked with concocting various mixtures and testing their effectiveness. They will be assisted by Roger, the friendly neighborhood test subject, who plays a crucial role in helping them refine their potion formulas and advance their skill in potion-making. Players can further embrace their creative side by utilizing the Draw Mode feature, where they can take notes and sketch their ideas through doodling.

With over 100 unique potion combinations, players have a vast number of possibilities to explore and experiment with. It also offers 27 different ending variations, ensuring that each playthrough provides a fresh and unique experience. This adds depth and replayability to the game, as the narrative branches out based on the choices players make throughout their journey. Additionally, the ensemble of 16 intriguing characters adds dimensions to the storyline.

Besides those features, the presence of a free workshop kitty friend adds an adorable companion to accompany players on their journey. While the game's compelling narrative and gameplay are enhanced by an engaging 26-track musical scoring, its visual component may not impress every player. The hand-drawn graphics, while unique, lack refined character designs and fluid animation, which may hinder the game's overall immersive potential.

Visually inferior quality

Overall, Apothecary offers a unique blend of puzzle-solving and simulation through its engaging potion-crafting mechanics. Players are tasked with creating specific potion recipes, offering a rewarding challenge. The game's trial-and-error approach allows for experimentation and fine-tuning of creations, ensuring that gameplay remains fresh and avoids repetition. However, it is worth noting that the game's visual aspect may not be its strongest suit, as the graphics appear less polished.
